Joint ASLI/ University Team Enters International Sounding Rocket Competition

To help raise the international profile of Australia’s capability in the field of rocketry and space research we have assembled a small team of university students from across the country; the team includes both undergraduate and PhD candidates in aerospace, mechanical and computer engineering who will compete under the supervision of our experienced volunteers in the 8th annual ESRA intercollegiate rocket engineering contest in the USA.

In the spirit of friendly competition we introduce our new mascot Bluey the Koalanaut, who has bravely signed up to fly on the green gold of Australia, against the rockets of up and coming engineers from across the USA, Turkey and Brazil.

Please visit our crowd funding page to find out more about our entry, and keep an eye on this blog as we start to release regular updates on our progress.
